Three of our visually impaired students who have been trained by New Horizon Solutions and Idobro Impact Solutions participated in the RISE world 2023 summit on 1st Feb, 2023.
The session included a roundtable discussion and a chance to pitch their business ideas to an esteemed jury and representatives from government, corporate houses, Chevening Alumni mentors and the media.
The round table on ‘Accelerating PwD (Persons with Disabilities)enterprises ’ is a culmination of an ongoing program ‘Entrepreneurship for PwD’s program’ implemented by Idobro Impact Solutions as a part of Chevening Alumni Programme Fund (CAPF) for 2022-23 supported by British high commission and Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The round table explored unique challenges that our target audience (PWDs) faced as compared to their able counterparts and came up with ways to support PwD’s entrepreneurs beyond the discussion in the form of key take aways and next steps.
